Professor Tessa Roseboom, coordinator of the WOMB project, wrote a book about The First 1000 days. The book is about the fundamental importance of a good start from biological, medical and societal perspective. Professor Roseboom gave the first copy to the Dutch minister of Health.

The minister of Health will be launching a nation-wide program aimed at providing each child the best possible start by investing in the first 1000 days this summer. He said that there is only one chance to a good start and we have the obligation to provide the children of today and the adults of tomorrow the chances they deserve. The book provides hope and a call to action to invest in our future, our children.
