Cornelieke van de Beek is a developmental psychologist, currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam. The past 5 years, she gained a broad knowledge about project management, as a research coordinator for the AMC studies of the NVOG Consortium 2.0. From 2005 until 2009, she held research positions at successively VU University (Clinical Child and Family Studies) and VU Medical Center (Child- and Adolescent Psychiatry). She obtained her PhD in Medicine at the UMCU in Utrecht with a thesis about the prenatal programming effects of sex hormones on infant behavior (in 2005). Her research interests focus on prenatal programming of development, the bio- and neuropsychology of early infant and child behavior (normal and psychopathological) and gender differences.
